	The Butler Institute of American Art The Butler Institute is the first museum of American Art and it is known and respected throughout the United States and Europe.   The Youngstown Playhouse America’s oldest ongoing community theatre.   Youngstown possesses an amazingly strong and resilient arts community!     Incredible architecture throughout many neighborhoods and a downtown that showcases turn-of-the-century buildings by architects who also practiced in New York and Chicago.   The Dana School of Music, Youngstown State University Founded in 1869, the Dana School of Music is one of the oldest music schools in the United States and is one of only 40 All-Steinway schools worldwide.
